Spider Version 2
Ok I shutdown the work on the old spider I started last year. I am starting working on the one that will be started this year. So changes are being made to how it will look and making sure I fix a lot of the problems I ran into withthe last one. As all ways, things have to improve over time and working towards that we have to some times start over.

When I started the spider last year, my thoughts were to just change the legs and make them move and teach the spider how to walk. Well the head and body ended up weighing a lot more than I wanted it to on the old one and the Legs started breaking off as I worked on it a bit over the last couple of months. Patching the legs became a common things when I would work on it. Once the computer as was added. I closed the work log and decied that it was time to start over.

Direct2Drive 

I got a new template for the body, but it will have to be changed around a little bit to handle 8 legs. Right now its only able to hold 6 and it doesn't allow to much else to be added on to it.

I got all of the post and screws to build a 2 layer, body for the spider. I also received the parts to start working on 2 of the legs.

Here are a few hip shots .. You will noticed that each one has a small differance to them at I move part of the joint

This is all of the piece that I currently have put together. I need a couple more 6" rods "Bone Pieces" and the cupplers to hold them together.

Quick look on how it would go together .

And with my hand in the way to give a glimis of how it would bend.
