Spider Version 2
I am waiting for a couple more pieces to come in, 3 of the 6" tubes and hubs to hold them to the brackets.

But with the waiting I have received a couple of packages. 1st one is a 6.5' long tube that was holding 2 6' 1/4" hex rods, I will using some of these to make custome hex stand offs. I had the tap set already. I am going to make 4 1/2" or 1/4" stand offs for the motherboard tray.

I also received a couple sheets of .063 think aluminum as well. Right now this will be used for the body part for the legs and the motherboard tray. It will also be used to make some custom C brackets for the servos.

below is a foam board cut out of the prototype of the body where the legs will attach. I have two of these made right now as I work out how thick the motherboard is and as I wait for the SSC-32 controller board for the servo's.

I am thinking that the main body part that will be covering the computer will need to be light weight and maybe removeable. So when the spider moves it doesn't over load the servos.

Some of the Aluminum parts maybe replaced with Acrylic or something else as I work on this.

Today I received to 2 new boxes of things that I have been waiting for. Some of the Electronics (Servo Board and Servo Driver for testing)

Plus I also got the rest of the pieces of the legs that I was missing.

So the legs now look like this. I Guess I need to get a couple servos and test the movement with no weight besides the legs. Until I can get the servos I am wanting for lifting the body. I also need to make sure the body I build doesn't go over the weight that the servo's can handle.
