When we get home from running around, I see a slip in my mail box saying I can pick up my package tomorrow at the post office. The name on the skip told me it was 1 of 3 packages, I have been wanting for. Bad thing is I am in no shape to work on this as one of my stops today was at the DR office and I found out that I am sporting a Ear infection and plugged inter tub (where you ear drains to keep pressure equal * Feels like I just got off a plane and need to pop my ears*). So what I been given has me feeling good along with my Migrain Megs. |

| Back on topic .. I opened the small box that has to be smaller than my Linksys wireless router, and pulled all of these items out. This is everything I need to control the robot with a Wifi Conection (still need the how to set it up information off of Wibotics site.
1st is the standard Serial cable, it can handle both the db9 and TTL serial comunication, so it is usable for a lot of different things. Then I also got the 2.2 dBi Gain antenna and plug header to supply it 3.3v DC.
Now comes some of the more intresting peices, 1 bag of goodies is the jumper pins, reset switch, Power, Eithernet, USB and a couple of jumpers. All of this needs to be added to the WiPort board.
Above is a pic of the WiPort board, this is the 3.0 version and is said to fit with the SSC-32 board from Lynxmotion (and what I will be using with it). Everything is labelled well, and is made easy to plug and solder. I know there are alot of other applications I can use with this, but for now it will be used to control the robot. Now the Board is one 3"X 2.25", so the WiPort has to be small as well. Shown below is the little guy
For size testing I put it over a CF card, it is really close to the same size, but you can see the sizes pushing out about 1-2 mm on each side.
Back side has a piece of white tape to protect the adapter board. Being the way that I am and can not leave things alone. I take a peek behind it to see what we have.
Yeah I know not much to it .. Oh well, I make sure the tape is back on and replace everything back in the box, Now I have some work to do over the next few days on this and to sand down the edges on the body that I made in my last update.
